New York? Nope. Road trip!

Our plan was to go to new York for a quick 3 day trip. We got some buddy passes from a friend and were planning a red eye flight out Thursday night. We headed to the airport and waited until they boarded all the people... then that's when you wait to see if they have room on the plane because you fly stand-by with buddy passes. Well after being in the airport for 3 hours they only had 1 seat left! Instead of waiting to see if we would make the flight out the next day we decided to scratch New York and take a road trip instead. Friday morning we left and made our way to Bryce Canyon for a few hours then on to Escalante where we spent the night in the car. The next morning we headed to Capitol Reef where we were able to do some hiking since there was not much snow. It was SO fun! We love hiking and red rocks :). We got a hotel that night, it was pretty cheap since its their off season, and got in the hot tub and enjoyed a nice comfy bed after a cold night spent in the car! Sunday morning we went to Goblin Valley and did the BEST hike! It was a slot canyon and so beautiful!! We hiked about 11 miles total this trip.

We thought we would be sightseeing in NYC for the weekend but ended up exploring Southern/Central Utah and had a blast.

We hiked about a mile in a half in and saw 3 Big Horn Sheep ~ A mama and her 2 babies

We got a hotel the second night near Capitol Reef and enjoyed the hot tub after hiking almost 8 miles!
